love and passion for music and her determination to make it in the rap game, makes her one of the most distinctive rapper
in the hip hop genre right now. Smilez (Jackie Balderas) was born in Henderson, Texas and has been flowing and writing since
the age of 13. Earning a name for herself by entering any freestyle battles, her goal has always been to become one of hip
hops elite MCs. Influenced by hip-hop and reggaeton (Spanish rap with reggae nuances), she has a unique style and flow that
separates her from any other MC in the game.
THE BIRTH: Smilez began working to the top early in
her life. Smilez soon clicked right away. The vibe, energy and mutual love for the music she was creating formed a union that
was destined to be. Even though she went through alot of problems as a kid, she never gave up, she knew if she kept herself
up she would make it in the rap game. She boldly released a 9 song album titled "Please Forgive Me" and started independently
promoting it by performing. Her perseverance would not go unnoticed. Later that year, on November 13 she released her second
album titled "I'm Slippin' " in which would later get her one step closer to the top.
